Editorial & Clinical Review Policy

New Approach Health publishes nutrition education to help people understand their eating experiences, prepare for care, and make informed decisions about seeking support.

Authorship

Articles identify their author and relevant credentials. Author profiles provide information about professional background and areas of practice.

Emahlea Wilcher, MPH, MS, RD, LD, is a Registered Dietitian and Founder & CEO of New Approach Health.

Clinical review

Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy and appropriate scope before publication. When an article has a separate clinical reviewer, that person and their credentials are identified. An author byline alone identifies the author and does not imply independent review.

Sources and evidence

We prioritize clinical guidelines, original research, systematic reviews, and resources from established health and research organizations. References are provided for clinical claims where appropriate.

We aim to describe what a source supports, the population studied, and important limitations. Evidence about an individual component of care is distinguished from evidence about a complete treatment framework.

Examples and practical suggestions

Meal ideas and planning suggestions are examples to adapt to individual needs. Fictional or composite scenarios are labeled. Examples illustrate a care process and are not presented as proof of an outcome.

Our services

New Approach Health provides nutrition services, and our educational pages may link to those services. Readers can explore clinician information, insurance benefits, and appointment options when considering care.

Updates and corrections

We review content when relevant guidance changes or when a concern is identified. A stated review or update date reflects a completed review or substantive revision.

To suggest a correction, email hello@newapproach.health with the article title, page address, and the concern. Please keep personal medical information out of a general editorial inquiry.

Individual care

Website content provides general education. Assessment and treatment recommendations depend on a person’s medical history, nutrition needs, circumstances, and appropriate clinical evaluation.
