Liver & kidney blood test packages
A flagged result deserves context. Compare packages for liver enzymes, kidney filtration, electrolytes and metabolic questions, with clear prices and listed markers.

Which package fits your question?
Creatinine is higher than expected
The $100 cystatin C package adds another filtration marker alongside general bloodwork. Its dedicated page explains muscle-related questions and the limits of a blood-only kidney assessment.
ALT, AST or other liver markers were flagged
Choose the package around the finding your clinician is investigating. Bring the earlier report, medicines and supplement list to the review instead of ordering several overlapping panels.
Blood pressure medicines or electrolytes
Focused options look at potassium, kidney markers and related measures. Medication decisions should stay with your prescriber, who can also advise on timing.

Liver & Kidney Health
Compare prices and expand each test list. Package names can overlap in purpose and biomarkers; choosing more than one may repeat tests.
Blood Pressure Medication & Potassium
If you’ve started a medication that can change potassium, a blood test at your prescriber’s recommended interval can guide decisions about salt substitutes and electrolyte drinks. Review the actual level and kidney function before changing your potassium intake.

Kidney Disease & Low Energy
If you have kidney disease and feel more winded or tired than usual, ask your kidney team about anemia and available iron. Seeing those markers alongside filtration helps them decide whether a nutrition change, iron treatment or another evaluation belongs in your plan.

Creatine, Muscle & a High Creatinine Result
Lift regularly or take creatine and surprised by your creatinine result? Muscle mass and supplements can influence that number. A second filtration marker gives your clinician another view before you make a change to protein intake or supplement use.

Know Your Kidney Numbers
If you’ve been told to watch your kidneys, this blood panel puts filtration and mineral balance together. It helps a renal dietitian see which nutrients deserve attention before you start restricting foods. Ask your clinician about urine albumin too; it measures a different sign of kidney damage.

Why Was My Bilirubin Flagged?
If bilirubin was the only unexpected result on routine bloodwork, your clinician may want to separate its fractions and check red-cell turnover. That can focus the follow-up and spare you unnecessary food restrictions. New yellowing of the eyes or skin warrants prompt medical assessment.

High Ferritin & Liver Enzymes
High ferritin can accompany liver inflammation as well as excess iron. If both ferritin and liver enzymes have been flagged, checking iron saturation gives your clinician another way to assess the pattern before you cut iron-rich foods or change a supplement.

Could My Fatty Liver Have Caused Scarring?
Already have fatty liver and wondering about scarring? Your clinician can combine these blood results with your age to calculate FIB-4 and decide whether elastography or specialist review would help. Age and recent illness affect how the score is interpreted.

My Fatty Liver & Metabolic Baseline
If an ultrasound showed fatty liver, these blood tests put liver enzymes, blood sugar and triglycerides on the same page. Use them with your care team to choose a nutrition priority and track change. Scans and fibrosis assessment answer separate questions about liver fat and scarring.

High Alkaline Phosphatase From Liver or Bone?
If alkaline phosphatase is the outlier on your bloodwork, the next question is where it’s coming from. GGT helps your clinician decide whether to look more closely at the liver and bile ducts or consider another source, such as bone. That distinction matters before changing supplements.

My ALT or AST Came Back High
A flagged liver enzyme is a reason to look at the pattern. See which markers are elevated together and compare them with your previous draw. Bring your medication and supplement list to your visit so your clinician can decide what deserves follow-up and where nutrition changes fit.

Before you choose
Useful answers.
Does a normal blood panel rule out kidney disease?
Bloodwork is one part of kidney evaluation. Urine albumin testing and other assessments may also be needed. Check the package list; urine testing is not automatically included.
Can a blood test diagnose fatty-liver scarring?
Blood markers can inform further assessment. Your clinician may recommend imaging or other tests. A package name does not mean a blood panel can confirm every stage or cause of liver disease.
Can I change protein intake after seeing the result?
Discuss your results and nutrition needs with your care team, especially if you have kidney disease. A single flagged creatinine value is not enough to set an individualized protein prescription.
Cost and collection
Packages in this category cost $85–$110. Quest blood collection is included in the listed price. Review available Quest locations for your address during ordering.
Preparation and results
Follow your selected package’s instructions for fasting and other preparation. Your provider reviews your results and shares next steps. Testing is cash-pay; every lab package in this store is HSA/FSA eligible.
